Rhonda Glowinsky

After Newtonbrook, I went to York University to study French.

I have been married to a wonderful man for over 34 years, Steve Steinberg. We were introduced by Betty Korn.

We have had a deck and fence company that has had a few name changes over the the last 30 years. It is now called Stone Mountain Fence & Deck Centres as we are now franchising the business. Our office is in Thornhill and we live at 81 Loma Vista Dr. near the 407 and Dufferin for almost 13 years.

We have three sons--Adam, 29, and works in sales in our business and lives with his 2 Rotties--Shadow and Xena. Daniel is 26 and works for Rogers in the technical support for internet, Our youngest, Noah is 21 has worked for us for the past couple of years while he is sorting out what he wants to do about school. He has almost completed his Digital Media Technology program at Seneca. He can't complete it because the program was canceled.

Steve and I rode motorcycles from 1996-2001 and were members of the Yowies (Yidden on Wheels). I met up with Ricki and Bernie through this group. After awhile, we decided that we would rather go cruisin' in our Mustangs instead. We have 6 of them, three are convertibles, 1 is a hatchback and 2 our coups. We belong the GTAMC (Greater Toronto Mustang Club). All 5 us are into the Mustangs.

We have traveled to the Caribbean, New Orleans ( before the hurricane), Mexico, California and driven to Florida over the past 20 yrs. as my parents have a condo in Pembroke Pines in the Fort Lauderdale area. We have done Route 66 from Nevada to Arizona where we saw Sedona with the gorgeous red mountains. Our favourite kind of trip is taking cruise on a ship, as well as our Mustangs.

I have been involved with Na'amat for 30 yrs. an organization that raises funds for children in Israel and the Canadian Crime Victims Foundation for the last couple of years. This organization was founded by Joe and Losanne Womback whose son Jonathan was beaten and left for dead in Aurora a few years back. The funds raised are for scholarships for the victims or members of their families.

I have recently been taking classes at Landmark Education. This is program that teaches you to put your past behind you and create new possibilities in the future. Hence the reason for my tag line "Who I am is the possibilty of being respectful and peaceful". One can learn to live a life that you love.

Rhonda Grosman and I met up again when we played Mah Jonng in the same group for many years.

To get away from the stresses of the business, our family likes to go to our trailer located at Goreski's Resort on Lake Scougog , in Port Perry. I t is like a one bedroom cottage with all the amenities including central heat and air.
