Ron Linden

Ron Linden graduated with his medical degree from the University of Toronto in 1980 and completed his residency in Family Medicine in 1982.

In 1987 he studied Hyperbaric Medicine in the United States with the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (N.O.A.A.)

Ron has been a consultant at the Toronto General Hospital, Hyperbaric Unit and lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto for 20 years and on staff at North York General Hospital for 25 years. He is a lecturer and consultant for Seneca College’s Commercial Diving Program. He has given numerous lectures and presentations and published numerous articles on the topic of Diving & Hyperbaric Medicine. He has been the President of the Great Lakes Chapter, Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society for three terms.

In 2005 he founded Ontario Wound Care Incorporated, a Canadian registered charitable foundation and successfully raised donations for the establishment of a centre for research and treatment of wounds, primarily diabetic wounds. In 2007 the Judy Dan Wound Care Centre was opened and since then, hundreds of patients have been treated and many limb amputations prevented. The centre is the largest of its kind in Canada and one of the largest in North America.

Ron successfully lobbied the Ontario Government to support research studies in wound care. He is conducting research into treatment of diabetic wounds in cooperation with the University of Toronto and McMaster University.
